‘Voice of McDonald’s’ Worldwide Singing Contest Holds Casting Call in San Diego
SAN DIEGO – July 12, 2011 – The “Voice of McDonald’s” worldwide singing contest is holding a casting call in San Diego this weekend to see if any San Diego McDonald’s employees have the talent to take them to stardom.
McDonald’s employees will be performing in front of friends, family and co-workers at the McDonald’s at 8929 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Sunday, July 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. The performances will be recorded and submitted to contest organizers, who will be selecting one winner from the Southern California region to move onto the U.S. finals. Employees interested in performing at the San Diego casting call should talk to their restaurant manager, supervisor or owner/operator to complete a form via email to secure a reservation. Walk-ins will be accepted the day of the event with manager, supervisor or owner/operator approval.
Regional winners will receive a personal performance coaching session, a Flip camera and a party for their restaurant’s crew. After their coaching session, these winners will then upload a new song to VoiceofMcDonalds.com where the public will vote this Fall to determine which three U.S. employees will represent their country at the global competition in 2012. The U.S. finalists will join 13 other contestants from around the world to compete for the $25,000 grand prize.
