San Diego McDonald’s® Restaurants Offer Exclusive Savings for SeaWorld Admission
SAN DIEGO – May 17, 2010 – San Diego County McDonald’s restaurants and SeaWorld San Diego are offering discounts on admission to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.
Families can stop by participating San Diego McDonald’s restaurants between May 17 and June 27 to pick up a SeaWorld coupon for some big savings. With this offer, adults pay the kids’ price and kids get in free (one free kid per paying adult) – a savings of up to $69 on single-day admission!
When the coupon is presented at admission to SeaWorld, $2 for each admission will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. The coupon offer can be redeemed at SeaWorld San Diego from May 17 through Sept. 30, 2010.
Since 1980, RMHC-SD has provided a “home away from home” for families whose children are facing life-threatening illnesses and are receiving treatment at San Diego-area hospitals.
The new 65,000 square-foot, 47-bedroom Ronald McDonald House® opened in July 2009 This much larger facility can now serve a growing number of families in need, including day guests. The Family Care Center at the House, will provide services to nearly 20,000 this year. This is a significant growth from serving about 8,500 last year in the former 12-bedroom House down the street.
In the new House, families can find sanctuary away from the hospital environment to enjoy a meal in the 100-seat dining room, do laundry, workout in the gym, communicate with family in the computer lab, get a haircut in the Salon, or just rest and relax in many new activity areas. These include a TV room, an arts and crafts room, children’s playroom, teen center, and two outdoor courtyards – The Sports Court or the Serenity Gardens. The House has also recently added a classroom to serve the educational needs of the children during their stay. Learn more by visiting their website at www.rmhcsd.org.
Along with offering the discount in McDonald’s restaurants, more than 35,000 SeaWorld coupons will be distributed at San Diego events, including the San Diego Pride Parade on July 17, the San Diego County Fair and Dia de la Familia at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on June 6.
